I've been an early adopter of AI tools — and I've also been clear-eyed about the tradeoffs. The productivity upside is real. So are the social, labor, and environmental costs. Like most meaningful shifts, it requires holding competing truths at the same time.
What pushed me to build Alongside with Peter Koechley — who brings a rare mix of creative strategy, social impact leadership, and deep AI fluency — was seeing how much value teams aren't capturing. Not because the technology isn't capable, but because the human and organizational layer is underbuilt. No shared norms. No operational ownership. No integration into real workflows.
That's the gap we're focused on: the uncomfortable middle between excitement and skepticism, hype and harm, experimentation and execution.
I'm still leading at ReadySet (multi-hyphenate era fully activated), and this is a direct extension of the same work I've been doing for years — helping teams translate strategy and intention into actual organizational change.
If you're navigating AI adoption inside your organization and seeing similar (or different!) friction points, we'd genuinely love to learn from your experience. Get in touch and we'll set something up 🤝
